Welcome!!

Welcome friends! This will be the beginning of an interesting online friendship. I hope to let you into my small world of a struggling single clueless mother. Mind you, I have been doing the mother thing for about 23 years. That, of course, does not mean that I know what I'm doing. That is why this blog is called the clueless incidental mother. I believe that most of us (mothers that is), go into mother hood without knowing a lick of what being a mother entitles.  Some of us are born with a very strong motherly instinct. To others, like myself, It comes out after we have our first child. In yet other, It's just missing all together. I may be wrong in this assumption, please correct me if I am. 

Yes, we've seen our mother and grandmothers, maybe aunts and other female family and non family members tackle the job. Some are quite good at it. Other like me, struggle with the concept. I'm not saying I'm a bad mother. My children will definitely be the final judge of that. But I honestly do not know what I've been doing so far. I had a very judgmental, harsh mother. Very strict in all manners. So I of, course I went the opposite way. Now, 23 years later, I'm regretting having been so lenient. I should have implemented some of the discipline that my mother places on me. My kids would know what responsibility is at least. Don't get me wrong, my kids are good kids....lazy...but still good; but I'm not blind. I know what I have at home and what I have created to this point.

 This is just a glimpse at the struggles of raising three boys by myself and the mistakes and triumphs that we've had to date. We're struggling right now, not as a family but financially. I just hope all these struggles teach my boys that one never gives up. We forge on and hopefully emerge triumphant at the end of the struggle. So I'd like to welcome you to my little corner of the world. Hope you enjoy the ride.
